Linking data via the Open Soils Data Platform

The Open Soils Data Platform (OSDP) project intends to create an open, and openly available, metadata catalogue for, broadly speaking, soils data. This catalogue uses controlled vocabularies, taxonomies, data schemata and ontologies---in the form of patterns---to enhance the semantics behind user driven/provided information about research artefacts and their supporting entities. The goal of the project is to build the linked metadata resources, in lock step with the scientific community as well as communities of practice, to a stage where the catalogue of resources can be transformed from from openly linked data (and resources) to a linked open (meta)data facility.
