Benefits versus costs and risks of exposing your data

Panel-led debate to explore when and how open data makes sense, and when it does not.  For health reasons Olivier Thereaux was unable to attend on the day, but contributed slides of the ODI's data spectrum. The scenario is neither  “for” nor “against” open data, but  paints a more nuanced picture of the application areas. Other panellists elaborated on the balance of risks in particular areas, and Anton Doroszenko described the dilemma when, to defray the costs of data curation, some form of income has to be derived from publishing.
